The National Grain Supply Company “SABIL” hosted the Chairman of SABIL, Mr. Abdulrahman Al-Zoghaibi, and the CEO of SALIC Group, Eng. Sulaiman Al-Rumaih, accompanied by a number of officials from both companies, during a field tour across SABIL’s branches in Al-Jumum, Jeddah, and Yanbu. The visit aimed to review operational activities, branch functions, and the company’s operational capabilities.
The field tour included reviewing branch operations and logistics capabilities, as well as monitoring services related to handling, storage, and transportation operations. The delegation also reviewed the company’s efforts to enhance supply sustainability and improve supply chain efficiency, reinforcing SABIL’s role within Saudi Arabia’s food security ecosystem. The two-day tour started at the Al-Jumum branch, located approximately 30 kilometers from Makkah, which is currently witnessing the arrival of Hajj pilgrims, before continuing to the Jeddah branch at Jeddah Islamic Port and concluding at the Yanbu branch.
SABIL’s branches in Western Saudi Arabia have a combined storage capacity of approximately 400,000 tons. This includes the Jeddah branch with a capacity of 140,000 tons since commencing operations in 1978, the Al-Jumum branch with a capacity of 125,000 tons since 2015, and the Yanbu branch, which began operations in 2021 with a storage capacity of 120,000 tons. Together, these branches form an integrated operational network that supports supply sustainability and enhances grain logistics efficiency.
