Their Excellencies Visit SABIL’s Yanbu Branch and Review Its Grain Logistics Capabilities

The National Grain Supply Company (SABIL) welcomed a government delegation today, Tuesday, 16 June 2026, at its Yanbu branch. The delegation included H.E. Ahmad Al-Fares, Governor of the General Food Security Authority (GFSA), H.E. Dr. Rumaih Al-Rumaih, Vice Minister of Transport and Logistics Services, and H.E. Dr. Fawaz Al-Suhaili, President of the Transport General Authority (TGA).

The visit aimed to assess operational challenges related to truck movements and unloading activities at Yanbu Commercial Port, and to explore opportunities for greater coordination among relevant entities to enhance logistics efficiency.

The delegation was received by Mr. Abdulrahman Al-Zughaibi, Chairman of SABIL, Eng. Sulaiman Al-Rumaih, Chief Executive Officer of SALIC Group, and Mr. Abdulrahman Al-Owais, Chief Executive Officer of SABIL, along with several officials from the participating organizations.

The visit included a field tour of SABIL’s facilities in Yanbu, during which the delegation reviewed operational activities and logistics services related to grain handling, storage, and transportation. The tour also highlighted operational procedures and coordination mechanisms among stakeholders across the grain supply chain.

Participants discussed several operational challenges associated with truck traffic at Yanbu Commercial Port, as well as opportunities to strengthen collaboration between government and operating entities. These efforts are aimed at improving cargo flow efficiency, enhancing logistics services, and supporting the sustainability of grain supply chains.

The visit reflects ongoing joint efforts between the public and private sectors to strengthen integration between the food security ecosystem and the transport and logistics sector, supporting Saudi Arabia’s objectives of improving supply chain efficiency, resilience, and long-term sustainability.
