SABIL announced the transfer of ownership of National Grains Company (NGC) from SALIC to SABIL, marking the first step in implementing its new strategy to expand its business and strengthen its role in providing integrated logistics solutions for the agri-food sector.
The announcement was made during a ceremony held at the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture in Riyadh, in the presence of H.E. Eng. Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen AlFadley, Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture and Chairman of SALIC.
The ownership transfer strengthens SABIL’s operational capabilities by combining its nationwide network of 14 branches with NGC’s capabilities in the sourcing, handling, and storage of grains and feed ingredients. This integration will expand SABIL’s business activities and enhance supply chain efficiency.
SABIL CEO Abdulrahman bin Saud AlOwais emphasized that this milestone marks the beginning of a new phase of growth, focused on maximizing the value of both companies’ assets and expertise while developing integrated logistics solutions covering sourcing, handling, storage, and transportation. These efforts will support more efficient and sustainable supply chains and reinforce SABIL’s contribution to the Kingdom’s food security ecosystem.
NGC will continue to operate as an independent legal entity, wholly owned by SABIL, strengthening operational and commercial integration between the two companies and supporting the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
